Batch 327: Implementation Reversal (Storno) entries

Storno entries or Reversal Entries in Exact Globe 2003 is now re-implemented. Currently, reversal entries are being identified by an indicated of the "Line type". Starting with this release, the implementation of Reversal entries (mainly used in Eastern European countries) would now be based on the setting in the menu path  [System/General/Settings/General Ledger Settings]  

This setting is only available to the following legislations :

  1. Polish (option 605),
  2. Czech (option 606),
  3. Slovakian (option 636),
  4. International legislation (option 699)
  5. Russia legislation (option 611). 

For Romania (option 607), the settings is not visible because it is compulsory for Romanian legislation and it cannot be turned off.

The type of entries that are treated as a Reversal are:-

  • Sales Credit Note
  • Purchase Credit Note
  • Reversal entries ( Correction entries manually entered)
  • Return receipt
  • Return fulfillment

For the above legislation, when the setting for reversal entries is ON, these entries would be displayed as a negative on the same side as the original entry.

For example:

A sales invoice entry is always entered as follows :-

A reversal of this entry would be displayed as negative amount on the same side of the entry.

Every screen displaying a double entry of the above type of transactions would have to display the entry as reversal. The areas affected is as follows:-

  • GL cards
  • Debtors/ Creditors Cards
  • Print of the GL/ Debtors / Creditors cards
  • Transactions screen 
  • General journal ( Manually entered Reversal entries, Sales / Purchase credit notes) 
  • Interactive balance
  • Balance sheet/ PL .
